Thankful

                             Welcome to Kindergarten

Mrs. Nord and Mrs. Ryan's Class

November has been full of excitement and we're not even finished yet! We are getting ready for Thanksgiving and giving thanks to God for all of the wonderful gifts He continues to bless us with each day. Thank you for the gift of your children and for sharing them with us.

One of our favorite stories in November was How To Catch a Turkey
We enjoyed making our own turkeys and are trying to save them by eating something else for Thanksgiving 🦃

In ELA: We have learned the following sight words: I, like, the, and, see, a, we, to, me, can, come, play, my, you, at, with, now. Please practice the sight words located on the word ring.  We know that verbs name an action and adjectives are used to describe a noun! We are also practicing our comprehension skills and comparing and contrasting. We read several stories including Mouse Shapes and Snow! We finished Unit 2 and had our second reading assessment. We had a letter review week, short a review, and met another Letter Person: Mr. N! We are also moving along with our Wilson FUNdations and continue to practice recognizing, writing, and making the sounds for each of the letters we have learned.

In Math: We completed Chapter 3- positional words such as- over, under, above, below, on, top, middle, bottom, inside, outside, left, right, and between. We completed the chapter 3 assessment and started Chapter 5. We recognized sets that have more, less, and created equal groups by crossing out or drawing more. Now we are practicing numerals beginning with 0.

In Religion: We continue to practice the Sign of the Cross, Hail Mary and now the Our Father. We are learning how God made us. He loves us and made each of us special and unique!

We made Christmas cards for our soldiers that are being deployed mid December. We also had the opportunity to hear from Mr. Lauber, a Navy pilot veteran. Thank you for your service 💓🤍💙

Madeline received the first Peacemaker Award for our class at Mass! Congratulations Madeline and keep shining! 🌟
