Our Star Student of the Week earlier in April was John Demchyk!!

Did you know that John's favorite thing to do is get tools and that his one wish is for a Milwaulkee tool kit ?!? Way to go John!!

Our Star Student of the week last week was: Patrick Shanahan!!

Did you know that Patrick's favorite thing to do is play Legos and that his one wish is for a panda?!? Awesome, Patrick!!

Classroom news:

In ELA: We have learned the following sight words: I, like, the, and, see, we, a, to, me, can, come, play, with, my, not, now, what, for, are, be. big, how, is, it, find, go, get, will, many, do, did, down, that, this, on, make, said, good, she, all, eat, he, have, in, was, up, help, look, out, very, little, jump, from, here, many. Please practice the sight words located on the word ring. We have met all of our Letter People and completed our last puppet!

We also completed the Kindergarten Reading Series and have moved on to the First Grade Book. Our first story was What Is a Pal? How can we be a pal? They had some great answers:

This unit also includes naming nouns and looking/listening for details in a story. As always, we continue to practice writing simple sentences using sight words and cvc words!
