Jack and Max put their "Ready Confetti" under their pillows on Sunday night to help ease their first day jitters!
The SKS Wildcat was out front greeting our Kindergarteners and welcoming them to school!
1st Day of School Pics💙
We have had the best first week of school! Many thanks for sending in the paperwork and supplies. We met all of our "specials" teachers and had our first dress down day! The kids are adjusting to their new routines and are already exceeding our expectations. Thank you for sharing them with us!
In ELA: We have learned two new sight words: I, like. Please practice the sight words located on the word ring. We also learned that nouns name people, places, things, and animals. We read several stories including What Makes a Family and Chrysanthemum. Our first Letter Person will make an appearance next week!
In Math: We are learning to differentiate between items that are the same, alike, and different as well as sorting. We are practicing our listening and following directions skills as well.
In Religion: We celebrated Mary's Birthday and started discussing the wonderful world that God has given us. We are practicing making the sign of the cross as well as learning the Our Father.
We met our 6th grade buddies today and completed an activity from the book The Wishtree with them. All of us wrote a wish on a leaf and it will be added to the SKS Wishtree in the hallway.
Has your child told you about "brain breaks" yet? Well we love them!
