 Welcome to Kindergarten!

We had a busy week! We have practiced the letters M, S, A and now T! We also learned the following sight words: I, like, see, the, and, we, a, to, me.

In math we finished 3D and 2D shapes and are practicing color and shape patterns as well as finding the pattern rule.

We learned how God gave us the gift of the land and all of the wonderful things on the land. We are now thanking him for the giving us the gift of animals.

We learned how important bones are and created our own x-ray image!

Farmer Brown from Sugartown Strawberries delivered pumpkins to our own SKS pumpkin patch. We had fun picking pumpkins and decorating them!

Picture Day was on Thursday and everyone looked so nice in their winter uniform while smiling for the camera!

Friday we participated in a virtual school mass hosted by the 7th and 8th grade.

We are getting excited for the Halloween season by exploring bones, pumpkins, witches, fall, and apples through experiments, read alouds, brain breaks, writing activities and math activities.

When we use the iPads the children have enjoyed going on Starfall It is a great way to reinforce letter recognition and sounds. There are also pattern games to play, numbers, and word families. We have also practiced logging on to Seesaw and completing assigned activities on there. Pretty soon we will be experts!

Our first Star Student of the week was Ellie Ryan! Did you know that Ellie wants to be a nail technician when she grows up or that her favorite place to visit is the Outer Banks?! Great job on your poster Ellie!

Did your child tell you what they put in their witches brew?? Ewww!!! You can listen to the song here:)
