 Welcome to Kindergarten!

So much learning has happened the past couple of weeks! We have practiced the letters M, S, A, T, C and P! We also learned the following sight words: I, like, see, the, and, we, a, to, me, can, come, play. A couple of skills we learned include adjectives and story structure.

In math we are finishing our chapter on position words: left, right, above, below, between, inside, outside, top, middle, bottom. We will have another Math Assessment soon!

We learned how God made everyone and how God loves all people. We are discussing how we can share God's love with others. We also learned about St. Joseph!

We learned about the skull and how important it is to protect our brains. Do you know the parts of a pumpkin? We do! After cutting open a pumpkin, we explored the different parts of the pumpkin and created these inside and outside diagrams:

We had fun using adjectives to describe our Halloween costumes so our friends could guess who we were👻👻

One of our favorite stories that we read was Room on a Broom. We drew who or what we would have room for on our brooms! You can view the story here.

When we use the iPads the children have enjoyed going on Starfall It is a great way to reinforce letter recognition and sounds. There are also pattern games to play, numbers, and word families. We have also practiced logging on to Seesaw and completing assigned activities on there. Pretty soon we will be experts!

Our Star Student of the week was Nicholas DiTommaso! Did you know that Nicholas wants to be a Professional Golfer when he grows up or that his favorite place to visit is Avalon?! Great job on your poster Nicholas!

Brooke lost her tooth at school!

Someone left the window open when we went to gym...and a giant spider made a web all over the classroom!
