Welcome to Kindergarten
Mrs. Nord and Mrs. Ryan's Class
November has been full of excitement and we're not even finished yet! We are getting ready for Thanksgiving and giving thanks to God for all of the wonderful gifts He continues to bless us with each day. Thank you for the gift of your children and for sharing them with us.
Congratulations to the Buzbee Family- The "Mr. Tosti" Scarecrow Winners!
Classroom news:
In ELA: We have learned the following sight words: I, like, the, and, see, we, a, to, me, can, come, play, with, my, not, now. Please practice the sight words located on the word ring. We had a week of review and then short a review. We learned about the different seasons and the months of the year. They each picked their favorite season and drew an activity that they like to do do in that season. Each child read their sentence and shared what activity they like to do! We read the stories Seasons and Jump Into January. We learned about compare and contrast as well as parts of a sentence.
In Math: We finished Chapter 3 and positional words- over, under, inside, outside, top, middle, bottom, on, in, left, right, and between. We loved practicing our left and right with the Cha Cha Slide!
Now onto Chapter 4: one to one correspondence, comparing groups that have more, fewer, most and fewest.
In Religion: We are practicing the Our Father and pray the Hail Mary. We also learned about the Church year and ordinary time. We have been learning about the four seasons and months of the year. We are also learning about the First Thanksgiving.
We celebrated Veterans Day and are so thankful to all of the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country💓
