We had a blast at 8th grade business day!

    In ELA: We have learned the following sight words: I, like, the, and, see, a, we, to, me, can, come, play, my, you, at, with, now, what, for, are, be, big, how, is, it, of, many, go, find, ran, from, this, will, do, did, here, down, that, on, make, where, who, said, good, was, she, all, eat, he, away, they, by, up, little, went, have, help, one, look, out, very, get, jump, not, am, came, well, ate, must, saw. Please practice the sight words located on the word ring.  We have finished our Kindergarten Reading Series! We are now beginning the First Grade Reading Series. We are so impressed with their reading, printing, writing and the effort that they put forth each day.

    In Math: We completed our chapters money and time. We our learning about measurement- comparing by size, length, height; measuring length, distance, weight, capicity, and temperature.

   

    In Religion: We continue to practice the Sign of the Cross, Hail Mary, Our Father, Prayer to Our Guardian Angel Prayer Before Meals, and the Glory Be. We are learning about Jesus, Baptism, and Prayer. We thank God for all of the wonderful gifts He has given us. We also celebrated the Feast Day of St. Catherine of Siena. We created poems with our buddies.

We learned all about the parts of a plant, how the grow and what they need. We planted Zinnias and they are already starting to grow!

We have also become Entomologist as we study the lifecycle of the butterfly. Since the larva arrived, we are recording our observations in our journal. They are now in the caterpillar stage and we anxiously await for them to form a chrysalis and eventually turn into a 🦋!

Winner winner chicken dinner! Bradley was picked in the golden ticket drawing! So awesome Bradley!!

Our Star Student was Charlie!!

Did you know that Charlie's favorite thing to do is draw and paint with Mom or if she had one wish she would wish for craft club everyday?!?!!  Love it Charlie!!

Our next Star Student was Shay!

Did you know that Shay's favorite thing to do is play basketball and if he had one wish he would wish to play on the Sixers?!? They need you Shay!!

                        Next up we have...Francie!!

Did you know that Francie's favorite thing to do is color with Faye and if she had one wish she would wish for a house in Disney World ?!? So fun Francie!!

                  Then our Star Student was Brennan!!

Did you know that Brennan's favorite thing to do is play baseball and if he had one wish he would wish for summer!! We are so close Brennan!!

Next up for Star Student is: Annie!!

Did you know that Tanner's favorite thing to do is go to the shore and if he had one wish he would wish for the Eagles to win the Super Bowl?!? Us too Tanner!!
