    In ELA: We have learned the following sight words: I, like, the, and, see, a, we, to, me, can, come, play, my, you, at, with, now, what, for, are, be, big, how, is, it, of, many, go, find, ran, from, this, will, do, did, here, down, that, on, make, where, who, said, good, was, she, all, eat, he, away, they, by, up, little, went. Please practice the sight words located on the word ring.  We are so impressed with the sentences that they are writing and remembering to begin with an uppercase letter and end with punctuation. We have practiced using a period, question mark, and exclamation point! Books about animals have been a favorite in the class such as Chameleon, Chameleon. We finished Unit 5 and started our final unit in the reading series. We are enjoying reading from our readers as well as "tapping" out cvc words and recognizing sight words in our stories...they are everywhere;)

    In Math: We completed our chapters on addition and subtraction. We our learning about money- identifying the penny, nickel, dime, and quarter. This was a fun song to help us remember Money Song. We are practicing adding up our pennies, nickels, and dimes. Next we will practice time to the hour by reading both analog and digital clocks.

Learning about surveys and graphs were a ton of fun!

    In Religion: We continue to practice the Sign of the Cross, Hail Mary, Our Father, and Prayer to Our Guardian Angel. We are learning about the season of Lent, participating in the stations of the cross each week, and doing our best to grow and change and be the best person we can be!

 

We learned all about the aloe plant. So many ways in which the aloe plant can help us. We planted our own and they continue to grow in our classroom.

We LOVE SKS! Catholic Schools week was filled with fun activites and friendly competion. Our friend Shay did an amazing job representing our class in the Spelling Bee 👏 Below are pictures from the week!

Did you know that Ford's favorite thing to do is watch the NFL and if he had one wish he would wish to be an NFL Star?!? Go for it Ford!!
