Classroom news:
In ELA: We have learned the following sight words: I, like, the, and, see, we, a, to, me, can, come, play, with, my, not, now, what, for, are, be. big, how, is, it, find, go, get, will, many, do, did, down, that, this, on, make. Please practice the sight words located on the word ring.  We met Mr. O who has "opposites." We read the stories Curious George's Dinosaur Discovery and Zin! Zin! Zin! a Violin! We discuss the sequence of events in stories...what happens in the beginning, middle, and end. We also continue to practice verbs in the past, present, and future. As we read and listen to stories, we look for details and the main idea. We continue to practice writing simple sentences using sight words and cvc words!

In Math: We completed Chapter 6- tallies and graphs. We have moved on to addition! We practiced both ways to write and add vertically and horizontally. We become quite good at joining two groups together. We will have our assessment next week and then move on to subtraction.

In Religion: We learned how Jesus grew up as part of the Holy Family in Nazareth and how Jesus is our teacher and helper. Jesus wants us to love others in the same way he loves us.
